clove is a new biannual magazine of South Asian culture, dedicated to the culture of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. it explores the forces shaping this rapidly changing region and its relationship to the world – from art, music, film, fashion, architecture, design and literature to social, political, technological and culinary movements.

the debut edition of South Asian magazine, Clove excels in its range of voices and topics, including features with photographer Juergen Teller about his photographic trips to India and a conversation with Bibi Russell, a Bangladeshi model who speaks about emerging in this industry in the 1970s. there’s some great photography including that of Bharat Sikka who photographed the region of Kashmir after being inspired by the novel, The Collaborator, written by Mirza Waheed. the issue gives voice to this region with a brilliant collection of fascinating and tightly edited work.
