brick – #5
we welcome Brick back to the roster following the very popular 4th issue that came to us earlier in the year. In this issue American rapper Waka Flocka talks about cryptocurrencies, morality and having children; a fascinating photo essay and diary by the creative director of distribution and marketing company anon*’s Ross Westland who shares polaroids of events and gigs by Ghostface Killah, Joey Badass, N.E.R.D and more. There’s also interviews and features on Brockhampton; 2 Chainz; 070 Shake; Chynna; Todd Darling and much more. Another effortlessly cool issue.
flourish – #1
the debut issue of Flourish gives impressions of Asia via Japan and Indonesia. Those countries are represented via photography, illustrations of nature, travel diaries, things to do and see and recipes from the regions. There’s an emphasis on nature in the issue and it gives a greater sense of what it’s like to visit these countries than most travel-photography magazines. A great inspiration for those looking to travel to the region.
creative adventures – #1
‘blessed are the curious’ is the tagline for this new journal, Creative Adventures, which aims to distill the inspirational stories of startups and their owners through a collection of simple write-ups of meets with those personalities. In this first issue they meet Crosstown Doughnuts, Rude Health, Nuji, Rita’s Bar and Diner and many others, and they talk about the roles of taking risks, flexibility, forecasting, and networking in getting a business of the ground.
