the gentlewoman is a biannual women’s fashion magazine that “celebrates modern women of style and purpose”. it features strong and inspirational women, its cover personalities including adele, beyonce and zadie smith.



a dazzling line-up of women makes up the autumn/winter edition of The Gentlewoman, with the visionary French filmmaker Agnès Varda topping the bill – photographed at her home on rue Daguerre in Paris. Accompanying Agnès in this issue are Sandra Oh, the Korean-Canadian actor; the fearless documentarian Deeyah Khan; and the one-woman electro rock-opera superstar Peaches. Elsewhere the mag features pioneering chef Skye Gyngell, star-gazer Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock and the north London guitar trio Girl Ray.
